Dodgeball is an action-packed team sport where two teams compete in a structured game of elimination. Sessions are carefully coached to ensure children are learning new skills while staying active, engaged, and safe. The fast-moving nature of the game keeps children motivated, builds confidence, and encourages teamwork in a fun, supportive environment.

• Improved cardiovascular fitness through continuous movement

• Increased strength and power using plyometric movements such as jumping and throwing

• Development of self-esteem through teamwork and individual decision-making

• Enhanced hand-eye coordination through dodging, throwing and catching

Key Stage 1

Children in Key Stage 1 are introduced to the fundamentals of Dodgeball in a fun and age-appropriate way. Sessions focus on learning the basic rules of the game while developing core skills such as throwing, catching and moving safely within a playing area. Emphasis is placed on improving coordination, spatial awareness, confidence while ensuring every child feels comfortable and included as they learn.

Key Stage 2

At Key Stage 2, children progress to more advanced Dodgeball skills and concepts. Sessions focus on improving throwing accuracy, catching under pressure, and developing greater speed and agility.
