1. What is P.A.S.S. Soccer School?
P.A.S.S. Soccer School is a grassroots to pro football training organisation based in Chelmsford, Essex, founded in 2002 by former professional players with a mission to help every child enjoy football and reach their potential.

2. What age groups does P.A.S.S. work with?
P.A.S.S. offers programmes for children aged 3 to 17 years old across a range of abilities, from beginners to professional pathways. The specialist training programme such as 1-2-1 sessions, small group sessions and masterclasses are open to players of any age.

 

3. What types of programmes are available?
The school provides football and futsal training, holiday courses, weekly training centres, specialist clinics, goalkeeper training, 1-2-1 sessions, small group sessions, masterclasses, academy, recruitment programmes and birthday parties.

4. What is the P.A.S.S. Academy?
P.A.S.S. Academy is an invitation only elite development programme focused on advanced technical skills, tactical awareness, match play and progression toward professional football environments.

5. How long has the Academy been running?
The Academy has been running successfully for over 17 years, developing young players for higher-level football.

6. What makes P.A.S.S. different from other training programmes?
P.A.S.S. balances fun and development at grassroots level with structured, age-appropriate training, while also offering clear pathways to professional opportunities, regular assessment and exposure to competitive match play.

7. What is the annual European tournament?
P.A.S.S. participates in an annual European tournament in Belgium, giving players unique international competition experience.

8. Do players have opportunities to be scouted?
Yes. P.A.S.S. operates a player recruitment programme with a network of scouts who regularly monitor players for potential advancement.

 

9. How many players have moved into professional football?
Over 150 P.A.S.S. players have gone on to represent professional clubs, earn scholarships and play internationally.

10. What is included in weekly training?
Weekly training centres focus on skill training, tactics and match play, structured by age and ability and operate throughout the year (excluding school holidays).

11. What are P.A.S.S. holiday courses?
Holiday courses run during school breaks (e.g., February half term, Easter, Summer) and include technical training, skills tests, competitions, awards and fun football activities in a safe environment.

12. Can children be invited to pro club trials from holiday courses?
Yes. Players demonstrating high performance at holiday courses may be invited to trials at pro clubs and considered for the academy.

13. What is the P.A.S.S. hub?
The P.A.S.S. hub is a bespoke covered astroturf training facility designed for high-intensity, fast-paced technical training regardless of weather. Invitation only for specialised training.

14. What specialist training is available?
P.A.S.S. offers 1-2-1 sessions, small group sessions, masterclasses and training clinics tailored to individual goals.

15. Are coaches qualified and vetted?
Yes. All P.A.S.S. coaches are FA-qualified and CRB/DBS vetted, with child protection training, ensuring quality and safety.

16. What should my child bring to holiday courses?
Players should bring appropriate football boots or trainers, shin pads, suitable clothing, a packed lunch and fluids.

17. How do I book a session or course?
Bookings can be made online via the P.A.S.S. website, ClassForKids platform or by contacting P.A.S.S. directly. Holiday courses and weekly training sessions have specific booking pathways.

18. Is there a registration requirement?
Yes. A player registration form must be completed on the first day of attendance at courses or training sessions for welfare and safety.

19. Does P.A.S.S. offer birthday parties?
Yes. P.A.S.S. runs football-themed birthday parties led by qualified coaches, providing fun, structured play experiences tailored to children’s birthdays.
